Saving his wife was the plan. Getting stranded in the deep, cold black of space after his ship was blown to scrap metal? Not so much. But when "the Jellies" — a race of ultra-altruistic, pacifist aliens — scoop him up, his gratitude is short-lived. For this jarhead engineer, it becomes a monumental clash of agendas, and their passive way of "managing" his militaristic mind proves to be rougher than any boot camp this middle-aged space soldier has ever survived.
